Welcome to Rotary Club of Midlothian

Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship. Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group who share your drive to give back. We meet Tuesdays at noon at Beef 'O' Brady's, 1000 George Hopper Rd. You are welcome to join us!
Club News

Our RYLA Campers made an enthusiastic presentation at our meeting on June 25th at Beef 'O' Brady's. Addison, Jorja, Jackson, Shelly and Zoe told us all about their experiences and had a presentation as well as a slide show and even a QuickTime movie.
Since Beef 'O' Brady's has closed and our traditional meeting location of the Midlothian Civic Center is unavailable on a few dates when we would meet, Cammy has made the following arrangements:

Remainder of July and August regular Tuesday meetings: Meeting room inside the Courtyard by Marriott (3 Community Center Circle). We will each need to buy our lunches from the hotel food service, through our Club. The Club itself will have to make up for the shortfall if less than $200 in lunches are sold, which is our guarantee.

Fifth Tuesday in July, we will not meet. Instead we're having our social event as a Cleburne Railroaders baseball game on July 28th - in a suite with a buffet, $49 each.

Hopefully things will settle down to something more permanent in September.

Brandon and Clay presented our program on June 18th. They talked some about their personal lives and what they're doing for a living now - this is part of the vocational talks that Rotary encourages under Vocational Service, the Second Avenue of Rotary.  But the majority of their presentation was about a trip they took together to Argentina to hunt and shoot dove.

With at least 20% of our flags significantly damaged during the storms around Memorial Day, we had another work session for flag repair in lieu of our regular meeting on June 11th. We wound up repairing around 300 flags in 2 + hours thanks to the good turnout of our members.

Tim Tobey and Charles Rigby are shown here attaching a new flag to a pole on the jig.
