I presented a program about my work as a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight South Central on December 10th. I talked about why there is such an organization, how missions are posted and accepted, and the actual flight planning for these missions. Angel Flight pilots pay for their aircraft expenses as well as fuel out of their own pocket. It does take effort to maintain the structure for screening patients and other compassion flight uses, as well as maintain waivers and communication, so those staffers are paid, just like most non-profits.
We were out of library books on December 10th, but at our first meeting in 2025, we did have a new supply, so President Don presented my book, which I signed. It will go into an elementary school library at an MISD school later.
