Our program on August 20th was Katie Tackett, with the Ellis County Children’s Advocacy Services. She had some handouts about her organization and talked about how her organization works with law enforcement in situations where children have been abused. For one thing, they try to arrange things so the child doesn’t have to keep telling the story over and over but basically just one time (until they might have to tell it in court a second time).
