We enjoyed a presentation from Kevin Crouch about being weather aware - something we need in every season here in Ellis County.
Kevin has been interested in weather and presenting it since he was a kid, and started Ellis County Weather on Twitter in 2015. He expanded it later onto Facebook and YouTube, and rebranded it as South Metro Weather. He is pretty much doing this full-time - has a sophisticated setup at his home with cameras, green screen, and many radar and weather graphic feeds. Kevin's presentation on preparedness is interesting and informative.
We had a decent attendance of 12 members and 3 guests in Beef's meeting room for the presentation. Thanks for buzzing up 287 to see us, Kevin.
