Dan Kessler, Assistant Director of Transportation for North Central Texas Council of Governments presented an interesting talk about MOBILITY 2050, a study showing population growth of 3 million people in the multi county area surrounding Dallas and Fort Worth ion the next quarter century. He provided some brochures with some interesting - and sobering - graphics.
As is our practice, we gave a children's library book to MISD as his honorarium. Immediate past president Don Ellis has been Dan's friend for over 30 years, with a shared interest in sport fishing.
We'll have to have Dan back - there's a whole lot more to share on this topic. Northwest Ellis County is certainly on that "ring of fire" of population explosion.
